Penned

I have been a stay at home mom/housewife for three years now. One of my passions is reading. I love a good book that doesn't leave me after I've put it down. I am also a fast reader and enjoy, at times, reading more than one book at once. It got to a point where I felt that I had read all I could from the library, near our house at that time, and I wasn't in the financial position to buy new novels.

My solution? Why not write a book? So, I did. I wrote my first novel, after making a list of my favorite books, for as long as I can remember. Then focused on what spoke the most to me. I grew up with Nancy Drew. I read hundreds of those books, and still reread them to this day. I also read much of Agatha Christie... Mystery, history, thrillers, suspense...I love it all!

And through the process of creating my first novel, I fell in love with the process of writing. And while my first novel still needs work, I plan to hone my craft here on this blog :) The Paisley Butterfly's short stories and poetry will be posted here, under the category Penned. Hope you enjoy!
